The Drone Shot: 3 Gemini Prompts

Turn one photo into an 8-second cinematic drone shot with sound. Three Gemini prompts: draw the flight path, fly it, and fix the render. No drone, no pilot, no editing.

What’s inside

  1. 1Step 1 of 3: Draw the flight path
  2. 2Step 2 of 3: Fly the line you just drew
  3. 3Step 3 of 3: Fix it when the render goes wrong
Turn one photo into an 8-second cinematic drone shot, with sound. No drone, no pilot, no editing.

How it works: drop a photo into Gemini, switch to the Thinking model (not Flash), and run these three prompts in the same chat.

Step 1 of 3, Draw the flight path

Run on: your clean photo

You are planning a cinematic drone shot from this photo. Use your understanding of the scene to choose the best flight path: identify the main subject, read the depth and the open space, and pick a contained route that orbits or arcs around the subject at a fairly constant distance. Do not draw a long path across the whole scene, because a big move makes the video split and jump mid-shot. Then draw that path onto the photo as clear markup, like a director marking a still. Draw one thick bright red curved line with an arrowhead for the flight path, and along it add three or four short bold white arrows showing where the camera looks, pointing back toward the subject.

That’s the first part. The rest of this guide is free too.
