Why Claude gets worse the longer you chat

!Your Claude Context System, one window, twelve moves

As the window fills, attention spreads thinner across everything in it. The answers still sound confident. They are just quietly worse. People call this context rot, and it is why a long chat feels like Claude "got tired".

Nothing here is a trick. Every move below does one of two things: it puts the right thing in the window permanently, or it takes the wrong thing out.
