Before you do this task, find the bigger ask inside it. Pick one direction: the goal after this is done, what the best person in this field would add or which fields have solved part of this. Write the bigger ask with a hard target and one check that isn't your own opinion. Show it to me in a code block, then do the work. If you miss the target, give me the real number. Then list what you couldn't check.Save it so you never paste it again
Claude applies what you save here to all of your conversations, so you only paste it once.
- In Claude, click your initials in the lower left corner.
- Click Settings, then Your Claude. On the older layout it's Account.
- Paste the prompt under Instructions. On the older layout it's Instructions for Claude.
Those steps come from Anthropic's help page. If you only want it on some work, put it in a Project's instructions instead, because those only apply to chats in that project.
