What it does

Step

What Find Skills does

1. Leaderboard first

Checks the skills.sh leaderboard for a popular, well-tested skill before it searches

2. Search

Runs a keyword search for your job, like npx skills find carousel

3. Check quality

Prefers 1K+ installs, trusted makers (Vercel, Anthropic, Microsoft) and repos with 100+ GitHub stars

4. Show options

Each one with what it does, the install count, who made it, the install command and a skills.sh link

5. Install

Installs the one you pick, in one go

It's the most installed skill on skills.sh: 4.1 million installs, from a repo with 36.9K GitHub stars (28/10/2026).

That’s the first part. The rest of this guide is free too.
